DOES INVISALIGN WORK AS WELL AS TRADITIONAL BRACES?

The primary use of Invisalign is for cosmetic considerations and small tooth movements such as crowding or spacing of the front teeth. It is a convenient option because the aligner can be taken out whenever a patient wants, such as for eating or brushing and flossing teeth and it’s an esthetic option because clear aligners blend in with the teeth very well.

Compared to Invisalign, traditional braces are much more effective in treating complicated cases. Traditional braces move teeth much more effectively than Invisalign and help with tooth functionality in a way that Invisalign simply cannot match. Therefore, if a patient’s needs are more than a small esthetic fix to his or her front teeth, braces are usually the best solution.
